Opus4 are proud to be sponsoring race ace Michael Meadows throughout 2018. Michael will be racing in the ultra-competitive Blancpain GT Series, which will take him to Europe’s best race circuits, including the notorious Spa 24 Hours endurance race in July.

Michael, 30, has established himself as one of the best talents in GT motor racing, and has won two Porsche Carrera Cup GB championships, before setting his sights on international racing and the Blancpain GT Series. He will be driving for Mercedes, in a modified version of their brilliant AMG GT3 car, competing against the cream of motorsport: Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Jaguar, McLaren, Bentley and Nissan. Speaking ahead of the new season, Michael Said: “Last year, I finished 5th in my first season with Mercedes AMG and this year, my focus is to improve on this and win as many races as possible. The car has an incredible performance and it’s a real pleasure to drive them.”

The series is regarded as arguably the most competitive racing series in the world. With the most famous names in motorsport all challenging for podium finishes, Michael knows everything will have to run perfectly if he’s to improve on last year’s excellent performance. The Spa 24 hours race is viewed as the highlight of the season and Michael is looking forward to it: “Last year we came third at Spa after leading for the majority of the race. This year, it would be great if we could get a couple of steps higher on the podium.”

The race series will be shown live on TV and also streamed live on YouTube, through the GTWorld channel. We will also be reporting on Michael’s progress throughout the year.
