Project Background and Objectives

Macfarlanes Solicitors approached us to transform their business support services spaces, including the facilities and IT departments. These areas were among the most tired and dated in their office. The objective was to shift the working culture from a high-density office setup to an open, collaborative, and contemporary environment. The design needed to align with a monochrome aesthetic while creating functional, modern spaces to encourage teamwork and enhance employee experience.

Solutions and Approach

We delivered a comprehensive CAT A & B design and fit-out, focusing on collaboration, functionality, and modern aesthetics:

Open and Collaborative Spaces: Reimagined the workspace with open-plan collaboration zones, quiet rooms, and informal meeting areas to foster a more connected work culture.
Modern Facilities: Introduced Zoom rooms, breakout coffee bars, lockers, and meeting rooms to support both individual and team-focused tasks.
• Lighting and Mechanical Upgrades: Upgraded the lighting system to energy-efficient LEDs, installed feature lighting for visual impact, and adapted the existing mechanical system to suit the new layout.

Acoustic Solutions: Installed acoustic baffles in meeting rooms to enhance sound quality and maintain privacy.
Enhanced Amenities: Provided zip hot and chilled taps for convenience and incorporated biophilic elements to soften the monochrome aesthetic and improve employee well-being.
Furniture and Finishes: Delivered furniture and finishes that complemented the contemporary monochrome design, creating a cohesive and polished space.
